The border of the carpet is made of Brazilian cowhide. Individual pieces of sheep fleece are sewn together by hand. Sheep fleece is obtained as a secondary product of sheep farming in Turkey. The carpet feels incredibly pleasant to the touch. The carpet is suitable for floors with underfloor heating, as the reverse side of the carpet is made of artificial leather. The Toscana carpet is produced in the Turkish city of Bursa.
