The Teppich Bazaar carpet is a completely unique silk carpet on a cotton warp. The model for the production of this carpet or tapestry is a painting by an unknown author, Teppich Bazaar, which depicts the original atmosphere of the carpet market in the heart of Persia, in the capital of Iran, Tehran. The carpet is hand-knotted from the highest quality Chinese silk, the production is only a women's affair, as they have very delicate hands necessary for hand-knotting. This unique carpet was woven in a small manufactory located in the Chinese desert, 600 km from the capital, Beijing.
