Lahore is a hand-knotted rug made of the highest quality hand-spun New Zealand wool. The wool is dyed with natural dyes, which were obtained from walnuts, pistachios and the Kermes-bug. The so-called Moghul-Red color is typical for this carpet. During the final treatment, the carpet is washed in a special tea bath, which gives this carpet a specific patina and shine. The original of this carpet is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Made in the Indian region of Aurai.
